“The implementation of this plan represents a firm commitment to the future of Sonora. We are guaranteeing the water supply for the next 30 years by carrying out regulatory and structural actions, updating the regulatory framework and generating public policies that allow for the sustainable use and exploitation of water,” said Governor Durazo.

One of the key projects of the Water Plan is the Macoyahui-Álamos Aqueductwhich is currently in operation, providing a flow of 65 liters per second to the Operating Agency.

This infrastructure significantly reduces the gap in coverage, quality and availability of drinking water service in the municipality of Álamos, directly benefiting its residents. 9 thousand 435 inhabitants. The work required an investment of 97.3 million pesos and is an example of the Government of Sonora’s commitment to address the basic needs of its citizens.
