Outside, in the beginning of the Berlin summer, clothes and shorts are needed to adequately counteract the heat and the resulting sweating. But indoors, in the capital’s offices, undershirts are making a stylish comeback. The reason is the air conditioning. Despite the energy crisis, they are running at full steam.
Chilled down to 20 to 22 degrees, sitting almost motionless at work for hours, it gets chilly. The employees put on additional layers of clothing when entering the offices. Undershirts are what down vests were in winter – but only for women.

Anyone who thinks that women’s undershirts are the only ones from underneath to conquer the fashion world is wrong. Take a look in your closet, how many T-shirts are there? This was also formerly an undergarment. Whether colored or white, in materials from cotton to silk – they all have one and the same origin.
The T-shirt – a successful cultural appropriation
