► Ukrainian forces were ordered to withdraw from Sievierodonetsk
Ukrainian forces have been ordered to withdraw from the eastern city of Sievierodonetsk, the scene of bitter fighting with the Russian army, the regional governor announced on Friday (June 24th). “Ukrainian armed forces will have to withdraw from Severodonetsk. They got the order.”said on Telegram the governor of Lugansk, region is located this strategic locality.
Bombarded by the Russians for weeks, Sievierodonetsk is a crucial step in their plan to conquer all of this industrial basin in eastern Ukraine already partly held by pro-Russian separatists since 2014.
