Better supervised telephone canvassing in 2023
The consumer will be better protected by cold calling. Commercial canvassing platforms will no longer have the right to call from numbers starting with 06 or 07. They will have to use numbers starting with 09, according to the new national numbering plan launched by the Regulatory Authority electronic communications, post and press distribution (Arcep).
Telephone canvassing will also be prohibited in the context of training using the funds of a personal training account (CPF) or an offer concerning the energy renovation sector. A reporting platform is made available by the government for any report of fraud.
From March 2023, cold calling will only be possible from Monday to Friday, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. and prohibited on Saturday and Sunday according to a government decree.

The articles will include a sheet detailing their environmental qualities
In application of the AGEC law via the decree of April 29, 2022, the various players in production and distribution will be obliged to issue “product sheets of environmental qualities and characteristics“. Are concerned the actors whose turnover is higher than 50 million euros, these documents must contain the following elements:
- compostability, the presence of recycled material, recyclability;
- the presence of rare earths or hazardous substances;
- geographical traceability of products;
- bonuses or penalties paid for environmental performance, for each product.
A large majority of products on the market are concerned (textiles, electronic devices, automobiles, etc.).

End of payment of compensation for termination of internet and telephone subscriptions in the event of over-indebtedness

The extended withdrawal period for extended warranties and insurance
From January 1, you can change your choice of insurance or extended warranty and terminate the contract free of charge within 30 days. The measure concerns in particular insurance contracts sold in addition to a good or service. Good to know: a free period in the subscription is not counted in the withdrawal period. This period can only run upon effective payment of all or part of the insurance premium.

End of disposable tableware in restaurants
Disposable packaging will now be prohibited for on-site catering from January 1, 2023 in fast food establishments. The objective is to promote the use of reusable containers, according to the AGEC law.

Removal of receipts is postponed to April 1, 2023. The measure planned to prohibit the systematic printing of receipts in favor of digital by sending digitized invoices. Bank receipts, promo tickets and vouchers will also be affected by this change.
Termination of contracts, insurance and mutual will be facilitated from June 1, 2023.
