For the first time, it will very soon be possible to rent a Tesla Model 3 electric vehicle, here in Israel. In recent days, Elden has been provided with the first cars intended for rent to the general public.
Elden will lease the three American tram models – the basic, the long-range long-range model, and the performance model. According to the company and according to the Calcalist report, the rental fee will be slightly lower than that of gasoline cars at the same price level (NIS 201-272 thousand) – between NIS 585 and NIS 702 for one day.
In addition, the company will provide the electric cars with a charging option of about 250 km per day at Sonol EVI stations. Please note, charging is included in the rental price, but beyond that the renter will be charged according to the charging company’s rates.
Note that unlike diesel and gasoline-powered vehicles that the renter can refuel at any gas station and pay with a credit card, charging an electric car is more complex for casual customers. Charging an electric car requires subscribing via an app or chip to one of the companies that offer the charging services. As long as Tesla Israel offers free use of its network of fast charging stations for car owners, casual renters will also be able to enjoy the benefit.
