Without the presence of the media: The victim of the attack in Ariel, 23-year-old Vyacheslav Golev, is laid to rest today (Sunday). Vyacheslav was killed while defending his fiancée Victoria Fligelman, who was on duty with him and staying with him in the guardhouse, thus saving her life. His family and friends accompany him on his final journey.
Vyacheslav, who came from an ultra-Orthodox home, previously studied at Ariel University and left behind parents and seven brothers and sisters. He lived in the city with his partner. The tragedy occurred while Vyacheslav was standing in the doorway, while the terrorist sitting next to the driver fired at him while driving. After that, the vehicle was stopped, the terrorists got down and carried out the attack.
Golev and Fligelman studied together at Ariel University and worked in security, the two have been engaged in recent months and intend to get married. The investigation shows that Golev was unable to operate his weapon and respond due to the severity of the first injury, and at this stage he was actually protecting his partner – who was not harmed at all. Fligelman was evacuated independently this morning to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon due to an anxiety attack and fear that will not let go of her.
“The security guard standing at the entrance to the post actually prevented her from being harmed,” a source close to the source told Maariv. “She went into hysteria and anxiety and that is quite understandable. She was unable to speak or function. Even when they tried to communicate with her in the morning it was impossible.”
Last night, a force from the IDF and the GSS arrested the two terrorists who carried out the deadly attack.
