“As a child, our son Arthur was an intellectually very lively child, very advanced, very active. He wouldn’t sit still and had trouble sleeping. I spent hours at night telling him stories. The school had forbidden him to take a nap in the afternoon, otherwise he would stay awake until 11 p.m. He didn’t listen to instructions, always clowned around, had trouble with writing or drawing because it requires fine mobility and attention. In kindergarten, it was difficult to channel his energy and he was tiring, as boys often are, but that didn’t cause major problems.
