The Ligue 2 broadcaster defended itself. Amid the rebellion of Ligue 2 supporters against the multiplex on Friday, BeIN Sports sent a letter on Monday, August 19 to the National Supporters’ Association, signed by director of programs, antennas and editor Florent Houzot.

Without BeIN, maybe there will be no multiplex at all, whatever the day, BeIN being the only broadcaster willing to support the importance of Ligue 2. However, the unprecedented level of investment is not possible than by scheduling games on Friday, Saturday and Monday,” indicated Florent Houzot.

Vincent Labrune is “sensitive” to the file

“We are ready to meet your group, and all the stakeholders, if this meeting is based on a rational communication, carried out in good faith, without abuse, and focused on the understanding of reform in the service of the general interest”, adds the director of the program in a letter addressed to the National Association of Supporters (ANS).

This letter was sent five days after an open letter sent by ANS to the attention of Florent Houzot, calling for “a meeting as soon as possible, to avoid another disaster for French football which has been doing very well.” A meeting between the National Supporters Association, BeIN Sports and the LFP will take place early next week.

In a letter addressed to the Ligue 2 college, the content of which is revealed by RMCProfessional Football League President Vincent Labrune spoke on the subject of the multiplex on Friday. “I am sensitive to the question of scheduling L 2 games on Friday evening. I have started effective discussions on the subject with BeIN Sports and I will talk to you about it next Monday,” he indicated.
