All-inclusive hotels, mobile flat rates, and now flying as much as your heart desires: The airline Wizz Air is the first to introduce a flight flat rate. For an annual contribution, you can fly as much as you want. But how exactly does the flat rate work, what are the prices, and which routes can be used?
All You Can Fly: What exactly is Wizz Air’s flight flat rate?
Wizz Air’s flight flat rate called “All You Can Fly” is a 12-month membership program that allows members to travel as much as they wish with Wizz Air flights.
After a one-time annual payment, members can book up to three flights per day according to the Wizz Air website, although flights must be booked at least 72 hours before departure. Checked baggage and carry-on are not included, but can be added if needed. Only a small piece of luggage (max. 40 x 30 x 20 cm) can be taken into the cabin.
All You Can Fly: What does the Wizz Air flight flat rate cost?
The Wizz Air flat rate currently costs 499 euros. After payment, you can use all flights of the airline. However, it should be noted that a flat fee is incurred for each flight. Here’s an overview of the costs:
- Annual price: 499 euros (from August 16, 599 euros)
- Flat fee per flight: 9.99 euros
- Baggage: depends
Wizz Air: Which routes can be used with All You Can Fly?
With the flat rate, all routes of Wizz Air can be used. However, the airline points out on its website that the offer depends on availability.
All You Can Fly: How does the flat rate work?
But how exactly can you subscribe to Wizz Air’s flat rate and how does the flight booking work? Here’s how:
- You can book the flat rate on the All You Can Fly website
- After registration and successful payment, you can start booking flights. Each flight must be booked through the All You Can Fly website.
- If you want to add baggage to your flight ticket, you can also do this on the website after booking the flight.
- Important to note: booked All You Can Fly flights cannot be changed; a new ticket must be purchased.
- It should also be noted that the membership cannot be canceled before the end of the 12-month commitment period and cannot be transferred to another passenger.
- The subscription is automatically renewed every year but can be canceled within the withdrawal period (initially, within 14 calendar days after registration) or each year before the mandatory subscription duration expires.
At the moment, Wizz Air wants to sell 10,000 flat rates, with the sale of available slots set to begin in September 2024.
