Grupp believes that the FDP will gain votes again if it leaves the coalition and new elections are held. The current traffic light coalition is a government “that nobody wants”. The 82-year-old Grupp was the owner of Trigema from 1972 to 2023. Since 2024, his two children have been managing the company together with his wife.
