DThe inclusion and withdrawal candidates for the Stoxx 50 and Euro Stoxx 50 are usually the result of good or bad price developments in the medium-term prior to the respective index review. After the extraordinary adjustments to the indices in February 2023 – the removal of Linde in each case – the following picture emerges for this year’s regular index review in September.
In the Stoxx 50, which also contains the British and Swiss blue chips, it should come as a surprise if there were another index change. In the Euro Stoxx 50, on the other hand, the real estate stock Vonovia, which continues to represent a technical swap candidate, is in an automatic index removal position. After the new technical downturn, the Finnish Nokia is also still in danger of falling back to an automatic position for index removal.
