Thiruvananthapuram: A woman has been arrested for allegedly beating up a 7 – year – old girl in front of a beauty parlor in front of a beauty parlor. Mini, a native of Sasthamangalam, Thiruvananthapuram was arrested. Shobhana (33), a BTech graduate from Maruthamkuzhi, was assaulted.

The incident took place at 1.30 pm on Thursday at Sasthamangalam. Shobhana arrived at the Kerala Bank branch with her daughter and spoke on her mobile phone in front of a nearby beauty parlor. The owner forbade the woman from talking on the phone in front of the parlor. Shobhana, who questioned this, was knocked down by the owner. The daughter cried but did not stop beating. The young man who came with the owner assaulted the person who filmed the scene and grabbed Shobhana. Shobhana had alleged that the battered woman also tried to seize the bracelet in her hand.

Shobhana’s complaint was first mooted by the museum police, who took up the case after the mobile camera footage was circulated on social media. The case is for severe bodily harm. But the police’s unwillingness to add the parlor owner’s name to the FIR or arrest him was controversial.
