“As alleged in the complaint, the accused orchestrated a scheme to carry out a fraudulent sale of Graceland, falsely claiming that Elvis Presley’s daughter had put up the historic landmark as collateral for a loan he failed to repay before his death“, Nicole Argentieri, Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Justice Department’s Criminal Division, said in a statement.

According to the statement, the woman claimed that Presley’s late daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, had requested a loan of nearly four million dollars to Naussany Investments (a fictitious company), claiming that it had used the mansion as collateral.

If convicted, the defendant will face a Mandatory minimum sentence of two years for aggravated identity theft and one maximum sentence of 20 years in prison for mail fraud.
