People going to Baba Vaithiyanath temple in Trikut hill area in Deogarh district were involved in an accident due to a technical glitch in the rope car. 48 people were trapped in 12 rope cars when the rope cars collided with each other, killing 2 people.
The National Disaster Rescue Team, along with the Indo-Tibetan Border Guard, Army and Air Force, descended on the field to rescue them. The rescue operation began with the help of three helicopters. Then the person rescued with the help of ropes from the rope car fell down and died when the helicopter reached.

A total of 33 people were rescued until Monday evening when rescue operations were halted due to darkness. Unfortunately, a woman fell and died as rescue operations resumed this morning. Two were killed and at least 46 were injured in what became known as the Cold War.
