After the act of violence near Neuschwanstein Castle, a 22-year-old victim left the hospital. The young woman was released from the clinic on Friday, a police spokesman reported on Monday.
According to previous knowledge, a 30-year-old tourist from the USA had pushed a 21-year-old and her girlfriend, who was one year older, into a ravine in Schwangau, and the younger woman later died in the hospital. The man in custody is being investigated on suspicion of murder, attempted murder and a sexual offence.
Investigators hope to get information about the suspect from the United States. A corresponding request for legal assistance was in progress, said police spokesman Holger Stabik. However, these procedures usually take some time. According to dpa information, both women are also US citizens.
