Woman Fatally Killed in Car Accident near Mazmoriya Checkpoint, Gush Etzion

A tragic car accident in Gush Etzion claimed the life of a woman early on Thursday. The incident occurred near the Mazmoriya checkpoint in the eastern part of Gush Etzion. The victim was identified as Hana ben Daniel Nami.

Upon receiving the report of the accident, authorities rushed to the scene to assess the situation. Reshef Lili Ben Lulu, deputy commander of the shift, explained, “We were informed of a serious traffic accident involving two vehicles near the Mazmoriya checkpoint. As we made our way to the scene, we received information that a woman was trapped inside one of the vehicles.”

When rescue teams arrived at the accident site, they found two private vehicles involved in a head-on collision. The driver of one of the vehicles was trapped in her seat. The rescue operation was complex and required the use of specialized hydraulic tools. Despite their efforts, medical officials who arrived at the scene determined that the trapped woman had lost her life due to the severity of the accident.

Yosef Marciano, an emergency medic from the MDA, described the scene, saying, “When we arrived, we witnessed the extensive damage to both vehicles. The Israeli woman, aged 25, was trapped inside her vehicle and had suffered severe injuries across multiple systems. With the assistance of firefighters, we managed to rescue her from the wreckage and immediately began resuscitation efforts. Unfortunately, we had to pronounce her dead. The two occupants of the Palestinian vehicle, who sustained minor injuries, were transported to the PA’s territories by the Red Crescent.”

The news of the tragic accident quickly spread, reaching the seminary where Hana ben Daniel Nami had studied. The Shova Midrash in Ofra expressed their grief by stating, “With a broken heart, we inform you that Hanna ben Daniel-Nami (Led graduate) was killed this evening in a car accident in East Gush Etzion. The funeral will be in Kfar Etzion tonight at 11:00 p.m. Much strength and comfort to all friends, family, and dear sisters – Shova (She taught on her return) and Talia (year 10). And God wiped a tear from every face.”

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident. The loss of a young life has deeply saddened the community, and condolences and support are pouring in for the family and friends of Hana ben Daniel Nami during this difficult time.
