Woman fights four bears to save her dog and survives

Everything seemed like a normal walk in the woods of Yukon, Canadawhen four bears surrounded Vanessa Chaput and his pet Luna.

The 24-year-old Vanessa Chaput, was in the forest of Yukon, Canada while out for a walk with his German Shepherd dog named Luna.

When suddenly, they found themselves cornered by four bears who aggressively acted defensively, due to Luna’s barking, however these were in vain, since one of the bears began to attack Vanessa.

According to what the young 24-year-old mother tells, they were trotting by the bosque, when suddenly they found themselves cornered by four bears.

She tried to protect Luna; However, one of the bears that was in front of her attacked her, causing her multiple wounds and injuries to the body, mainly wounds to the back, thighs and a fractured arm.

She tells how the bear bit her head, shaking her as if she were a “rag doll.”

“I felt like a rag doll and there was nothing I could do…” she said. Despite the serious attack, Chaput remained focused on her family, thinking of her daughter and her husband:

“I am not ready to leave my daughter and my husband, I am surprised at how lucky I was and that God protected me”

She thought the bear was going to kill her, while Luna continued barking to defend herself, a fact that she believes helped the bear suddenly release her, to flee with the other three, including a small one.

He also says Vanessa, Another part was due to the fact that her hair clip snapped, which scared the bear away by biting it and they ran away.

After this incident, they hid behind a tree, then walked to the highway where her smart watch had a signal and she was able to communicate with her husband and the police.

Los Yukon Conservation Servicesmade public on Facebook, the sighting of aggressive bears, so they decided to evacuate the camp that was closest to the area, in order to avoid any other attack.

As for the bears, Three of them have already been sacrificed, as a protective measure for visitors to the area and they continue the search for the fourth bear to continue preventing this type of situation.
