Woman gets millions from car insurance because she gets STI through sex in car | Abroad

by time news

The case came to light in February 2021 when the woman contacted her partner’s car insurance company. She said she contracted the HPV virus while making out in the man’s car and claimed compensation, The Kansas City Star reports. She claimed her partner knew he was carrying the HPV virus, but hadn’t told her. Therefore, the couple did not use contraceptives. The HPV virus is sexually transmitted and can cause abnormal cell growth of skin, mucous membranes, genital warts and cervical cancer.

The woman’s claim was rejected by the insurance company. She then went to court. He now agrees with the woman, because “the couple’s intercourse in the car caused or directly contributed to the HPV infection.” According to The Kansas City Star, the woman will be awarded $5.2 million “for damages and injuries.” The amount must be paid by the insurance company.

The woman is no longer in a relationship with the man.
