At that time, a woman named Priya, who works in a private company, was walking on the road when the building blocks fell on her. Following this, the fire and rescue department reached the spot and together with the people nearby rescued Priya who was trapped in the building and sent her to Rayapet Government Hospital for treatment. But Priya died without treatment.

Following this, the police registered a case against the private company involved in the demolition of the building without proper security arrangements. Following this, the police arrested the JCP owner and the driver.

According to this, the police have arrested JCP machine owner Gnanasekaran and JCP machine driver Balaji. Police are looking for the absconding building owner, engineer and contractor.
