Monaco: Former Indian Athletics Athlete and Coach Anju Baby George wins World Athletics Award Anju Bobby George is the recipient of the World Athletics Woman of the Year award.
Anju deserves the award for her services in the field even after retiring from sports. The award was announced on Wednesday night. Anju, who won bronze for India at the World Athletics Championships, set up the Bangalore-based Athletics Academy after her retirement.
Anju has been coaching girls through her academy since 2016. He is also the Senior Vice President of the Indian Athletics Federation. Norway’s Carsten Warhome has been named World Athletics Player of the Year. Elaine Thompson of Jamaica.
