The 17th Civil Court of Santiago sentenced the Indisa Clinic to pay a total of $1.448 million to the family of Gloria and Davor, becoming the highest medical compensation in the history of Chile.

This occurred 32 hours after her admission.

But Gloria and Davor’s ordeal did not end there, as the youngest He was diagnosed with “respiratory distress syndrome, transient tachypnea, neonatal depression, grade III hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, convulsive syndrome, hypotonic syndrome, and sucking-swallowing disorder.”

The consequences of the long labor caused severe neurological damage and left her with a 90% degree of disability, all caused by anoxia – which is a decrease in oxygen in the tissues and organs – due to the extensive labor.

In view of this situation, The 17th Civil Court of Santiago determined that Davor will need $2.3 million per month just in medical expenses, which will exceed $800 million in 30 yearsin addition to considering $150 million just in the remuneration that he will not be able to receive due to his disability.

Along with this, it was stipulated that he should receive 200 million for moral damages, the same amount for his parents, so sentenced the Indisa Clinic, the doctor and the midwife to pay a total of $1.448 million to the family of Gloria and Davor, making it the highest medical compensation in the history of Chile.
