In Odisha, police rescued a young woman who was tortured in front of her youngest son. The woman was tortured for 79 days in front of her two-and-a-half-year-old son. They were tortured after being locked in a room with their son by a Tantri in the name of solving a family problem. Police have launched a search for him.
The girl got married in 2017. She had problems with her husband and family. Tantri came to the scene saying that if the girl stays for a while, the problems in the family will change. However, the young woman refused to go with Tantri. With this, the husband and wife seduced the girl and took her to the Tantri and locked her in the room. The woman’s baby was also locked in the same room.
Tantri tortured the girl for 79 consecutive days. He brought food and water. The girl was helped when Tantri forgot her mobile phone in their room. The woman called and explained things to her family. He was later rescued by police. Tantri had already escaped from there. The girl was admitted to the hospital. Police have registered a case against the husband and his wife’s family in the incident.
