Zabala noted that women have no difference with men, they have the same capacity and adequate performance. Furthermore, he stressed that before this sport practiced by women was criticized, since since the beginning of this sport men wanted to have the leading role. “Ninety percent of soccer in the province has women practicing this discipline, so it is gaining more and more strength.”

Women who are part of the training

Approximately 14 women, ages 9 to 16, train at the soccer school. Zabala emphasized that in the future they be taken into account exclusively as a tournament team for women so that their preparation and the sacrifice of the athletes are evident.

Lady Guanoluisa, a young woman, said that she thinks it is very good, there are very talented girls and that there are more representatives of women’s soccer in the province. In this regard, Geomara Montero indicated that she does not like playing this sport, but she supports that they enjoy soccer and practice it without taking into account what they will say. For 16-year-old Génesis López, although she does not play, those who practice know more about this discipline that is very popular, “both men and women are good.”
