News from Angola – The role of women in society is the theme of the second national conference of the Kimbanguista Women’s Association.
Started on the 23rd of this month, the event aims to organize the members of the association in the tasks that each one must develop.
According to the deputy secretary of the Kimbanguista women’s association, Deonisia Daniel, the faithful of the Church of Jesus on Earth (Kibanguista) have played a key role in the education of the female class.
He pointed out the fight against prostitution as one of the tasks to be developed at all times.
In this context, it has carried out awareness campaigns in the communities in order to clarify to sex workers that this activity entails serious consequences.
“We have drawn attention to sex workers that this activity, in addition to spiritual problems, is also harmful to health”, he said.
He believed that they could embark on other ways of earning their livelihood without having to sell their bodies.
On the occasion, he appealed to society to follow the example of Mama Muilu Kiawanga Marie, wife of the prophet Simão Kimbangu whose 67th anniversary of his death is marked this Thursday (27th).
Mana Muilue Kiawanga Marie, ensured the work of the Church for 37 years, during the period in which her husband was detained by the Belgian colonial authorities.
Mom Muilu Kiawanga Marie is the reference of all Kimbanguista women for the legacy left.
The Church of Jesus Christ on Earth (Kibanguista) was founded by the prophet Simão Kimbangu on April 6, 1921 in Nkamba (DRC) and is present in over 30 countries in Africa, Europe and America.
