The seventh edition of the Dubréka Theater Festival (FESTARD) will be held from November 25 to 1is December 2024, in the eponymous city. During this edition, a particular emphasis will be placed on women who will be in the spotlight.

This year, the organizers felt it necessary to honor women to celebrate their creativity, strength and influence in the field of theater.

With a rich and varied program, the 7th The next edition of the Dubréka Theater Festival will be held in three different locations in the city, namely: the Mory Kanté Higher Institute of Arts, the Siba Fassou Cultural Space and the Dubréka Youth Center.

On the program for the 7thth edition of FESTARD, there will be: “Theater shows performed by talented women, exploring contemporary and traditional themes; dance performances, where feminine expression will be revealed through captivating choreographies; timeless tales, told by powerful voices that will transport you to fascinating worlds; innovative scenography, highlighting the art of staging in a new light; puppet theater, where magic comes to life in the hands of exceptional puppeteers.”

In his message announcing the holding of the 7th edition, Hassane Hila Sylla, the Executive Director of the festival, emphasized: “This edition of FESTARD is not only a showcase for the talent and diversity of the performing arts in Guinea, but also an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the central role of women in our theatrical culture.

As Executive Director of the Dubréka Theatre Festival, I strongly encourage you to come in large numbers, to participate in these moments of sharing, and to support this initiative which places women at the heart of the stage,” said Hassane Hilal Sylla.
