Thursday, March 09, 2023 (ACP).- The women of the city of Kamituga pleaded on Wednesday for the reduction of inequalities between men and women, during the festivities of the International Day of Women’s Rights, noted the ACP.

“Women’s rights go through the reduction of inequalities between men and women”, said a human rights activist, after the peaceful march, part of the place commonly known as “la Rigole” to the local forum where their memorandum was read by the gender and family bureau chief, Kasabantu Ponga.

In this document, women denounce human rights violations, in particular gender-based violence (GBV), arbitrary arrests and other abuses of all kinds.

They brandished banners on which were inscribed messages relating to the end of the war in the east of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

The representative of the urban authority encouraged and congratulated all the women for this initiative. ACP/KHM/ODM/May
