A 100-year-old British woman has revealed the secret behind her age. Olive Westerman, a British woman from South Kirby, West Yorkshire, claims that if she completely avoids talking to strange men, she can live to be a hundred years old. When asked how to live a happy life full of laughter and travel, Olive replied:
“Avoid talking to strange men and you can live comfortably”. Olive shared the news as she celebrated her birthday with loved ones at Deepwater Grange residential home in Chester. They say that the secret to longevity is not in diet or healthy lifestyle, but by living your normal life and not talking to strange men, you will live longer.

Being able to interact with children as part of her job as a nurse helped keep Olive young at heart. And countless trips around the world with her husband, a writer and travel manager, are a factor in helping her live a healthy life. They lived in Singapore for three years. Olive has many happy memories of that time. Especially in Singapore where she met her husband.
“I spent some time abroad and my favorite place to live was Singapore – I loved it there. Singapore was very beautiful and the ways were very different from England. “My husband and I met in a church where we attended prayers every Sunday. One day after mass we talked to each other. From that day we decided to live together. What I like most about him is his kind and gentle nature, he always tries to help others” said Olive.

“Be happy and content to still be alive, make the most of what you have. I myself cannot believe that I am 100 years old now. But it’s amazing” continues Olive’s words along with her advice not to talk to strange men. They also did not hide their delight at getting a birthday card from King Charles and Camilla for Olive’s 100th birthday. There was also a very elaborate tea party.
