Women now also fall into this ruse to hit songs about infidelity or sexual relations, some of them so crude and direct that it could be said that they “sweep the floor” with their ex-partners.
This type of lyrics of “hate and contempt” towards an ex-partner or men in general leads to remember the Mexican Paquita la del Barrio, who is characterized by that.
For example, Colombian singers Shakira and Karol G joined the most anticipated collaboration by their fans, “TQG” (“You stayed big”).
Not only Shakira and Karol G express themselves freely without fear of what they may say about them, but also Natti Natasha, La Insuperable, Tokischa, Yailin la mas Viral, Cardi B, Cazzu, Nathy Peluso and María Becerra also use strong lyrics in her songs that were previously only moderately acceptable to men.
In the case of Shakira and Karol G, the song “TQG” has generated controversy among the followers of Latin music due to content full of hints to their ex-partners after the Barranquillera turn on the spotlight with “I congratulate you”, “Monotonía” and “Bzrp BZRP Music Sessions #53”, where he also openly attacks his ex Gerard Pique. Few times in artistic history had such a case happened.
“In this song I know that she wanted to express a different vibe with her voice because it’s a different time in her life. She sounds very powerful, sexy and different and I love that she wanted to give a different vibe, ”Karol G explained in an interview.

His most controversial song was “Desacato escolar” in collaboration with Yomel El Meloso, who together with La Toki wore the old uniform of the country’s public schools in the video clip, for which the Ministry of Education sued him.
The Minerd argued violations of the Dominican Penal Code Law 133-03, the Minors’ Code and the Drug Law 50-88, for inciting the consumption of marijuana while acting as elementary school students, mostly minors.
Finally, the music video was eliminated, as was that of “Perra” by La Toki and J Balvin after they were convicted by the authorities of that country for allegedly sexist and misogynist content.
