KABUL: In Afghanistan, keeping women out of the public eye is becoming more and more brutal. Reportedly, women who volunteered to donate blood to those seriously injured in the Kabul attack were banned.
The Taliban forbade women from going directly to blood banks when they felt a shortage of blood in hospitals. The government has not yet given a clear answer as to why women were banned from donating blood.
Complaints are being raised that the government is hiding the actual number of people killed in the attack. Social activists are also pointing out that 19 people were not killed in the terrorist attack in Kabul yesterday. The death toll is double what was reported in the news. Social activists pointed out that the Taliban falsified death tolls after each attack to hide the government’s failure to save civilians.
Last day, there was a suicide attack on Kaj Educational Institution in Daste A Barbachi, Kabul. The information released by the Taliban is that 19 people died and 30 people were seriously injured. A day after the attack, no one has claimed responsibility.
