Sri Lanka advanced to the final after beating Pakistan by one run in the last ball of the Women’s Asia Cup semi-final.

The ongoing Women’s Asia Cup cricket series in Bangladesh has reached its final stage. India, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Pakistan advanced to the semi-finals.

In the semi-final match between India and Thailand, the Indian team defeated the Thai team by 74 runs and advanced to the final.

Subsequently, the semi-final match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan took place in Sylhet. In this match Sri Lanka won the toss and batted first and scored only 122 runs in 20 overs.

Chasing down a target of 123 runs, captain Bisma Maroof scored 42 runs off 41 balls. Bisma played responsibly. Nita Dhar scored 26 runs. Pakistan scored 114 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 19 overs. 9 runs needed in the last over. Kulasuriya bowled the last over and conceded only 6 runs off the first 5 balls. Needing 3 runs off the last ball, Sri Lanka managed to get only one run off that ball, winning by one run in a thriller and progressing to the final.
