The 17th round of the Women’s Premier League in basketball continued on Monday evening with three more games, which were marked by losses of the lead: Maccabi Haifa lost 79:62 to Maccabi Ashdod, and recorded a second consecutive loss.

Ashdod shows that it has been on the rise for a long time and the impressive victory on Monday night over Haifa that leads in such a convincing way, shows that after the changes on the lines and in the staff, the team goes strong for all the titles.

Ashdod attracted in its great period, with a fifth victory in their last six games. After a brilliant first quarter of both teams, Haifa led 13:16, and opened the second quarter in a positive way thanks to the good ability of Crystal Wen.

But additional errors by Bernice Mosby and a slack game by Chelsea Hopkins allowed Ashdod to return to the game, and until the break the advantage passed to Eden Inbar’s team, which led 35:37.

With the opening of the second half, the momentum did not change and Ashdod did everything in its power, Boone dominated under baskets, and Haifa continued to look confused.

The shots of Tal Sahar and Mai Revach came in, and towards the last 10 minutes the result was 47:63 in favor of the host.

Kelsey Boone led Ashdod’s scoring with 21 points, and was assisted by Victoria Vivians who finished with 19.
