A women’s festival at the Holon Theater will be held to commemorate International Women’s Day. Original shows and premieres in the field of music will be hosted by Chava Elberstein, Esther Rada, Leah Shabat, Aviva Avidan and the creator Roni Wagner. Also in the program: “Grandmothers” a comedy from the creator of the Khan Theater (directed by Shirili Dasha), and “The Reef”, a contemporary dance work by Tamar Amit-Yosef. The festival is being renewed this year with “Meetings in the Lounge” – an alternative and intimate space in the atmosphere of the living room of the creators who will host the audience for conversation, humor and music sessions: Lilian Barto and Neli Tager will talk about Nora Efron, Talulah Bonet and Yael Levantal will hold a meeting full of humor, Shiri Artzi and Shafra Kornfeld will talk about The healing in words, on writing and on life.

At the foot of the Old City, an agricultural farm was recently established that preserves the agricultural world of ancient Jerusalem. On the tour, Dr. Tova Dickstein, archaeologist and researcher, will reveal the world of foods and ancient agriculture, the world of nature, nutrition and ancient agriculture of Jerusalem. In a new and festive show series at Barbie, Amir Lev will return to the greatest albums of his musical career, with the band and with changing guests. The first show will return to all the songs from the “Once in a Lifetime” album, 25 years after its release: Blue and Green, Black Clouds, New Year’s Eve, Once in a Lifetime, and all favorite songs from the founding album. The next show in the series will go back to the album “Latifs Ani Mekhush” on May 31, when Chaim Oliel will be the host.

The musical “Inta Omari”, based on the life story of the singer Umm Kulthum, with the participation of the singer Dekla, will be performed this week at the Culture Hall in Netanya as part of the month to mark Women’s Day. In a joint production of the Incubator Theater and the Starker Theater, the musical “Into the Woods” by Stephen Sondheim will be staged. The musical rewrites some of the most familiar fairy tales of the Green Brothers, Cinderella, Jack and the Riddle, Little Red Riding Hood and Rapunzel, in order to warn against the effects of the stories we pass on to future generations. The immersive music and witty lyrics created by Stephen Sondheim and the iconic screenplay by James Lapine, make “Into the Woods” a special reworking of the classic fairy tales.
