Will Olympique Lyonnais stay on the hexagonal throne for the 50th edition of the French Women’s Championship? The French Football Federation validated this Thursday the complete calendar of the D1 Arkema season 2023-2024 during which playoffs will be organized to award the title of champion of France. A first !

After the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand this summer, the players will return to D1 on Friday 15, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September for the first day. The Lyonnaises will travel to Le Havre (8th last year) while PSG will travel to Bordeaux (7th). Paris FC, 3rd last season and qualified for the Champions League, will start in Lille while Fleury (4th) will host Guingamp.

The clash between the two big favourites, Lyon and PSG, will take place from the second day in the capital. Paris FC will host Lyon on Matchday 6 (November 4) while PSG will host Fleury on Matchday 8 (November 18). Finally, the PFC – PSG derby will be played at the Charléty stadium on the 11th and last day of the first leg on December 16, 2023.

In the return matches, PSG will go to Lyon for Matchday 15 on February 10, 2024. The derby between the two capital clubs will take place on Matchday 21. On the 22nd and final day, PSG will travel to Reims and Lyon to Bordeaux. At the end of the regular season, the top four in the standings will play in the playoffs, a novelty for the 2023-2024 season. The semi-finals will be held on Sunday May 12, with the match for third place and the final on Friday May 17. The meetings will be organized on the ground of the best ranked clubs. The D1 Arkema will be to follow on the antennas of the Canal + group with two posters scheduled in prime time on Friday and Sunday at 9 p.m. on Canal + Foot. The other four being broadcast on Dailymotion and FFFtv.
