The Korean women’s handball team, the only team to qualify for the Paris Olympics, will begin its Olympic journey with its first group match against Germany at 11 p.m. on the 25th, ahead of the official opening of the competition. The Korean women’s handball team, which has participated in 11 consecutive Olympics, boasted world-class performance from the 1980s to the 2000s. During that time, they won two gold, three silver, and one bronze medal at the Olympics. However, in this competition, even making it through the group stage will not be easy. The goal is to first make it through the group stage and advance to the quarterfinals. No one knows what will happen in the single-elimination tournament. Twelve countries participated in the Paris Olympics women’s handball. They were divided into two groups of six teams each, and the top four from each group advanced to the quarterfinals. Earlier, at 4:30 PM on this day, the ‘world’s best’ Korean women’s archery team will participate in the individual ranking round. The men’s archery team will begin the ranking round at 9:15 PM on the same day. 64 players will participate in the men’s and women’s individual archery events, and the brackets will be drawn based on the ranking round rankings. The 1st place in the ranking round will face the 64th place in the individual tournament, and the 2nd place will face the 63rd place. If you perform well in the ranking round, your individual tournament bracket will be easier.
