Amsterdam: India will face England in the first match of the Women’s Hockey World Cup in Pool B today. The match starts at 8 PM IST. The 16 teams have been divided into four groups in the preliminary stage. In Pool B, India will face New Zealand and China in addition to England. India’s matches are against China tomorrow and against New Zealand on the 7th. India’s best performance so far was in the inaugural season of the 1974 Women’s World Cup when they finished fourth.
