Carlos Pavon Campos, Secretary General of the National Mining and Metallurgical Union FRONT, inaugurated the 2nd National Meeting of Authentic Women Miners in ZacatecasZacatecas. Event that manages to bring together the largest number of professional women in the mining industry Mexico.
Authentic Women Miners has become another achievement of the National Mining Metallurgical Union Front and Carlos Pavón Campos, since during a 5-day period the miners acquire knowledge, tools and training in gender, equity, sisterhood and empowerment, among others.

During the work of this second meeting, the leader of the Front, Carlos Pavón Campos, was clear in highlighting the important participation of women in the growth and development of the national mining industry. He also indicated that in the Union he leads, there are no “first ladies”, as in some others where the workers are displaced by the wives of those who call themselves leaders. “In this union, we are all equal and we are real miners,” Pavón Campos stressed.
In this second meeting, more than 400 miners from the sections of Fresnillo, Saucito, Juanicipio, Caborca, Velardeña, La Ciénega, San Julian, Capela, Avino y Bermejillo, same ones that will accumulate.
