Colombo: India won the first match of the T20 series against Sri Lanka by 34 runs. India won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 138 for six. Sri Lanka were 104 for five in 20 overs. Radha Yadav took two wickets for Sri Lanka. India 138-6 in 20 overs, Sri Lanka 104-5 in 20 overs.

Inoka Ranveera took three wickets and Oshadi Ranasinghe two for Sri Lanka. The second match of the three-match series will be played on Saturday.
