Women’s T20 World Cup Tamil News: The 8th Women’s T20 World Cup cricket series will start from 10th in South Africa. The first match of the series pits hosts South Africa against Sri Lanka. 10 teams including Australia, India, Pakistan, Ireland, New Zealand, Bangladesh, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies are participating in this series.

The opening match, semi-final and final will all be held at Newlands, Cape Town. It marks the start and end of the T20 World Cup.

The U-19 team winning the inaugural edition of the trophy has given the Indian women’s team added confidence. The Indian team is led by Harmanpreet Kaur. Women’s T20 World Cup format

This year’s ICC Women’s T20 World Cup is divided into two phases.

The 10 teams are divided into two groups of five teams each. South Africa qualified as the host team. Seven other teams qualified automatically. Bangladesh and Ireland have advanced to the qualifiers.

The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout stages after playing round-robin matches in their respective groups during the first round.

The two semi-finals in the knockout stages and the final will be played at Newlands in Cape Town on February 26.

February 10: The Women’s T20 World Cup begins with a Group 1 clash between South Africa and Sri Lanka.

February 12: India (Women) vs Pakistan (Women) Group Stage match on Sunday at 6.30 pm.
