Women’s World Cup Series – Indian Team Announcement

The BCCI has announced a 15-member Indian women’s cricket team led by captain Mithali Raj.

The Indian squad for the Women’s World Cup series, which starts on March 4, has been announced. Mithali Raj has been appointed as the captain and Harmanpreet Kaur as the vice-captain of the 15-member Indian team. The BCCI has also announced that the Mitali Raj-led team will play a one-day cricket series against New Zealand.

Accordingly, the Indian women’s team will clash with the Pakistan women’s team in the first match of the ICC Women’s World Cup on March 6. The match takes place at the Bay Oval, Touranga Stadium.

Indian team for the 5th ODI & ICC Women’s World Cup against New Zealand: Mithali Raj (capt), Harmanpreet Kaur (vice-captain), Smriti Mandana, Shafali Verma, Yasthika Patia, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh (wicket-keeper), Sine Rana, Julan Goswami, Pooja Vastragar, Magna Singh (attack) Wicket keeper), Rajeswari Kayakwad and Poonam Yadav.

Waiters: Chapineni Magna, Ekta Bisht, Simran Dil Bahadur.
