Work has begun on the construction of a unique leisure complex in the Colony Garden
Last week on Wednesday (Wednesday) work began on a new and unique leisure complex in the Colony Garden that will include seating areas and picnic tables, a dance floor, decorative lighting and more. Mayor Raz Kinstlich: “The Colony Garden joins dozens of other gardens that have been renovated in the city. We will continue this trend for the benefit of the residents.”
In about three months the Colony Garden will look different. Last week (Wednesday) work began on the Moshava Garden, at the end of which a special leisure complex will be built for the well-being of the residents and visitors to the park. The complex, located in the open space of the Colony Garden, will be used for a variety of activities such as an evening bar, performances, parties, picnics and meals and of course a pleasant and innovative meeting place in the open air. Work on the complex, designed by Studio Owe Architects in collaboration with the City Planning Division, the IAEA Division and the Community Administration, is expected to be completed during March 2022.

The complex, located in the northern part of Palm Avenue, will contain, among other things, a quality bamboo deck, an iconic music statue in the spirit of the early days of the colony, special tables and chairs in the spirit of a wine bar and winery, a dance floor and spectacular decorative lighting. During the day, the complex can be used by families for a picnic and a pleasant refreshment corner and learning to work in the open air. In the evening, young people can come to the complex to sit and enjoy food from the restaurants and bars in the area, play and listen to performances.
In recent months, dozens of public parks throughout the city have been renovated for the benefit of the residents, and fitness facilities, facilities for children and adults, benches, lawns, barbecues, fountains and more have been added. Also, during the Corona crisis, construction work was carried out, upgrading, shading and accessibility of sports complexes, play areas and more.
