In the second phase, of a maximum of 129 days from next summer, it will require the temporary closure of traffic between Sol and Valdecarros.

The execution of this project includes the elimination of the ballast and the wooden sleepers and their replacement by a new concrete platform, for which the rail fastening and support systems will also be renewed, and new high-tech track devices will be installed. . In addition, the drainage system and the geometry of the route will be improved to reduce maintenance work and possible incidents.

The objective of these works is to improve the operation of the line, which will result in better travel times and greater comfort for passengers.
