Quanbai Tennis Club Claims Victory at 2026 Workers Cup Tournament in Beijing

The All-China Sports foundation-Hong Kong Jockey Club assisted “Workers Cup” Chinese Employees Tennis Team Competition concluded on January 3,2026,at the Beijing Tennis Management Center,showcasing a high level of competition and solidifying it’s position as a model for amateur tennis events in China. After two days of play encompassing 216 matches between 24 teams and 192 players, Quanbai Tennis Club emerged as champions.
The tournament, designed to promote “National Fitness, Healthy china,” saw New Starting Point Beijing Sports university Tennis Club secure the runner-up position, followed by Beijing Taihao Tennis Club in third. The event’s success underscores the growing enthusiasm for tennis among Chinese employees across various industries.
A Tournament Built on Fairness and Inclusivity
According to Du Beibei, the competition’s chief referee, a key focus of the tournament design was ensuring equal opportunities for all participants. “All athletes have equal opportunities to participate; the competition system is designed to take into account fairness and experience,” she stated.The tournament structure also incorporated a “resurrection” round, allowing teams of similar skill levels to continue competing and fostering a more engaging experience.
This innovative approach was lauded by Mr.Geng Qilong, a member of the Zhejiang odier Club who participated as a special invitee. He explained, “The competition system is set up reasonably, and there is an chance for resurrection after the group cycle. Players with different rankings are regrouped, so that people with similar levels can continue to communicate and enjoy the game.” He further emphasized the value of learning from experienced Beijing-based players.
Celebrating Participation and Community
The event wasn’t solely focused on competition; it also prioritized camaraderie and personal enhancement. A player from New Starting Point Beijing Sports University Tennis Club shared, “The organizers of this event are thoughtful and the venue facilities and services…are quite complete. It is very agreeable and easy to play. At our age, it would be good if we can play more steadily and improve partially. The significant thing is to participate.” This sentiment highlights the tournament’s success in creating a welcoming and supportive environment for players of all levels.
