FORSHAGA, Sweden – A workplace accident on Monday evening has left a 35-year-old man injured after being hit by a traffic light near the southern entrance to Forshaga on national highway 62, according to the police.

The incident was reported to the police at 18.19, prompting emergency services, ambulances, and the police to rush to the scene. The injured man was quickly transported to the hospital by ambulance, as reported by NWT.

According to Lars Hedelin, press officer at the police in the Bergslagen region, the man was injured while the traffic light was being transported. “In connection with the transport of this traffic light, the man must have gotten it over himself and sustained injuries,” explained Hedelin to the newspaper.

Initially, the police closed the northbound lane of national highway 62 following the accident. However, the road closure was lifted at 18.45 once the initial investigation was complete.
