EUGENE: Venezuela’s Yulimar Rojas is no match for the women’s triple jump. Rojas completed the triple jump by winning gold in the third consecutive World Athletics Championships.

He completed the triple gold by clearing 15.47 meters in the final on Tuesday, the fourth day of the World Athletics Championships. Jamaica’s Shanika Ricketts (14.89m) won the silver and America’s Tori Franklin (14.72m) the bronze.

The 26-year-old Rojas, who is also the current Olympic champion, has improved her performance in all three finals of the World Athletics.

In the 2017 London Championships, he won the gold by clearing 14.91 meters and in 2019, he jumped 15.37 meters in Doha. This time he improved by 10 cm and reached 15.47 meters. However, he could not reach the world record performance (15.67m) set at the Tokyo Olympics.

He improved his own record by jumping 15.74 meters at the World Indoor Championships held in Belgrade last March.
