World Athletics Championships: Indian athlete advances to javelin final

The 18th World Athletics Championships are underway in Eugene, Oregon, USA. Women’s Javelin Throw Qualifiers were held today. Annu Rani participated on behalf of India. Annu Rani, who made the most of the third and last chance of the event, played well and threw the javelin 59.60 meters in the last chance.

He also took 8th place. The top 8 players will directly advance to the finals. Based on that, Annu Rani secured the 8th position and advanced to the finals. Annu Rani qualified for the World Athletics Championship finals for the 2nd time with this.

It is noteworthy that Annu Rani has advanced to the finals of the World Athletics Championship following Indian players Avinash Sable and Murali Sreesankar.
