Singapore wins gold at World Badminton Championships for first time

The 26th World Badminton Championships were held in Velva, Spain.
In the men’s singles final, India’s Kitambi Srikanth, ranked 14th, clashed with Singapore’s Lo Qian Yu.
Singapore’s Lo Qian defeated Srikanth 21-15, 22-20 to win the title.
India won the silver medal after losing the final. Srikanth Kithambi has become the first player to win silver at the World Badminton Championships.
