World Badminton Federation Lifetime Achievement Award for Prakash Padukone

New Delhi: Indian legend Prakash Padukone has been nominated for the World Badminton Federation (BWF) Lifetime Achievement Award. Prakash Padukone has been selected by the BWF for his outstanding contribution to the field of badminton. The Badminton Association of India (BAI) has nominated Prakash Padukone for the BWF.

Former world number one Prakash Padukone is the first Indian to win a medal at the Badminton World Championships. He was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 by the Indian Badminton Association. Indian Badminton Association Secretary Ajay Singhania said Padukone was proud to receive the award.

‘Congratulations to Prakash Padukone who won the Badminton Lifetime Achievement Award. He is very proud of being able to achieve this. His contribution to the field of Indian badminton is immense. On behalf of the Indian Badminton Association, I wish him all the best, ”Singhania added

The BWF has announced that Prakash Padukone will receive the award during the 2021 India Open Badminton Tournament.
