The Australian women’s cricket team is currently the ODI and T20 world champion. They won the ODI World Cup for the seventh time in 2022 and took home a hat-trick of T20 titles in 2018, 2020 and 2023. They have won this title three times before.

This highly successful women’s cricket team is visiting Bangladesh for the first time. This is the first bilateral series between the two teams. The two teams will play three ODIs and T20Is each. Earlier the two teams have met only in ICC events. That number is also very low.

Once in 2022 ODI World Cup, twice in 2020 and 2023 T20 World Cup. The international series of six matches between the two teams is therefore gaining more importance.

The Australian women’s team is coming to Bangladesh on March 17 for a 20-day tour. The two-team series will begin with the ODI. The first match is on March 21. Then the second and third ODIs will be held on March 24 and 27. The first T20 will start on March 31. The next two T20Is are on April 2 and 4 respectively. Australia team will leave Dhaka on April 5.

All matches are held at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. The ODI matches will start at 9.30 am. T20 at 12 noon.

Women’s T20 World Cup is going to be held in Bangladesh next September-October. Australia will visit Bangladesh before the World Cup to adapt to the conditions. Cricket Australia (CA) has also announced a 15-member team ahead of the Bangladesh tour. Alyssa Healy will lead the team in both formats.
