India’s PV Sindhu and Lakshaya Sen advance to the pre-quarterfinals of the World Championships in Badminton.
The World Championship Badminton Tournament is being held in Spain with the participation of leading players. In the second round match of the women’s division, Sindhu, the sixth seed in the series, faced Martina Resiska of Slovakia. Sindhu dominated from the start, winning 21-7, 21-9 in straight sets.
In the men’s event, India’s Lakshya Sen competed against Japan’s Kento Nishimoto. The match lasted for about an hour and a half and Lakshya Sen won the set 22-20, 15-21, 21-18.
