World champion Max Verstappen is stumbling in Formula 1. Will he actually lose his title to young star Lando Norris?
Lando Norris won the Dutch Grand Prix in Zandvoort last weekend with a whopping 23-second lead – and dealt reigning Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen a bitter defeat at his home race.
There is nothing left of the Red Bull dominance of the past few years and at the beginning of this season. McLaren, especially with young star Norris, now seems to have the fastest car. Meanwhile, Red Bull and Verstappen are puzzling over how they could have fallen so far behind their British competitors.
While Red Bull is only 30 points ahead in the Constructors’ World Championship and can already feel McLaren breathing down its neck, Verstappen can still enjoy a generous cushion of 70 points over Norris in the Drivers’ World Championship. Nevertheless, Verstappen has been waiting for a win for five races now. Things aren’t going well for the Dutchman at the race weekend in Monza either. This raises the question:
